When Google finally announced Android 4.3, we all knew that nexus users the world over would be wearing that smug grin of theirs. Who can blame them? They chose Nexus for a very good reason and I am sure that a lot of you out there think “Why didn’t I just go Nexus?” when your current phone is still waiting for an update. Just go and ask all those HTC One S users. All joking aside, it’s nice to have a Nexus and get quick updates. Well, those with the Galaxy nexus have been waiting a little longer than others it would seem. While the Nexus 4 and the original Nexus 7 seemed to get the update within a day or so of last week’s event those with the Galaxy Nexus have been patiently waiting.

It looks like the wait is over, as Android Community have just received the update on their international Galaxy Nexus. While some of you have surely received the update before now, it looks like Android 4.3 is rolling out on a much larger scale, with users all over the globe reporting that their update has finally come in. While the 4.3 update is nothing too major, it does bring with it some nice tweaks under the hood. There might be a little bit of a speed boost but, that could all be a placebo.

Of course, there’s still no need to wait, if you want to update now and are fed up of waiting, you can always download the factory images from Google and have them update your device. These will wipe your device, so be sure to run Titanium and make a backup on a PC or something.

There’s no telling when Sprint and Verizon users will be getting the Android 4.3 update but, if we’re really honest most Nexus users with CDMA models are running a custom ROM by now, right? Let us know in the comments if you just got the update or if you’ve had for a while now.
