At least Motorola isn’t throwing Droid Xyboard and Xoom 2 users under the bus with updates to Ice Cream Sandwich. Because today is your lucky day. Motorola and Verizon is rolling out Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich to the Droid Xyboard 8.2 and 10.1 4G LTE (known as the XOOM 2 in Europe). The Wifi versions of these tablets got their Ice Cream Sandwich updates over the summer, and it looks like Verizon has finally finished their extensive testing phase.
To get the update go into Settings on your device, select About Tablet and Check for Updates. You can find out more about the update from Motorola’s blog.
