Anyone have a Samsung Acclaim? Well good news has finally come for customers of carrier US Cellular, with an Android 2.2 (Froyo) update finally being released from Samsung.
A while back US Cellular gave a timeline in which they planned when their devices would be updated, with the Acclaim set for January. It seems they kept their word, thanks to Samsung being so generous, posting instructions for the Froyo update on Samsung’s Download Center.
It is a Windows-based download of 102 megabytes, sorry no OTA, but you’ll get an easy walkthrough to help you along the way. So plug in and start downloading, and you’ll have Froyo in no time. Congrats Acclaim for joining the club.
