Well what do you know? Looks like someone got their hands on an early build of Android 2.3 Gingerbread for T-Mobile’s G2x.Have a look and let us know if you’ll be backing out of Cyanogen long enough to get yourself the official real deal Gingerbread when the time comes.
As you know G2X runs Android 2.2. This version of Android is in the original Google-made state. There is no custom user interface so you know what it means. It means that know you can update G2X to next version of Android(2.3 Gingerbread).

- Scrolling and touchscreen sensitivity were improved, especially noticeable on the lockscreen and the app drawer.
- Gingerbread brings a new keyboard and improved text highlighting
- Revamped UI is “in full effect” with menus, status bar, dialer all revamped
- Wi-Fi calling worked right from the get go
