This last minute Google Pixel Fold deal is definitely worth checking out. As Amazon Prime Day comes to a close, we’re still seeing some more deals pop up. Including one for last year’s Google Pixel Fold, which is now just $1,199. That makes it even cheaper than the OnePlus Open, which is also on sale for Prime Day.

The Pixel Fold was released last year, as Google’s first foldable. It’s rumored to be getting replaced as soon as next month by the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and it unfortunately is not getting 7 years of updates like the Pixel 8 series got. So that makes buying this make a little less sense these days. But if you’re really interested in getting a foldable, this is still a good option.

One of the biggest reasons why I love the Pixel Fold so much is that much wider cover display. It’s kind of a throwback to older smartphones from 2015-2016 when everything was still 16:9. But this also means that when you open the Pixel Fold, you’re already in landscape mode, meaning you are in tablet-mode for apps already. While others will need you to rotate the phone first.

Internally, Google has the Tensor G2 processor, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It also has a 4,821mAh capacity battery inside, which offers some decent battery life, but not the best – OnePlus Open and others released in 2024 are still a bit better. But keep in mind this phone is well over a year old now.
