GeForce NOW just entered into a Summer sale and that means you can sign up for a membership at a reduced price. If you’ve not tried GeForce NOW before, now is absolutely the time to consider checking it out, because things have never been cheaper for this service than they are currently.
Naturally, there are some key factors to keep in mind here. The sale won’t last forever and it’s not available on the base membership, which is free. That being said, if you’re interested in seeing what NVIDIA‘s cloud gaming service is all about, you have from now until August 18 to grab a membership at a discounted price. For Priority memberships, you can grab one month for $4.99 and 6 months for $24.99. And for the Ultimate membership, which is the better value, you can pick up one month for $9.99 and 6 months for $49.99.
The GeForce NOW Summer sale pricing is only valid for the first billing
Here is the other kicker. The sale pricing is only valid for the first billing. So if you go with one month, your second month’s billing will be at regular price. The offer is only valid for new members, Free members, and Priority members as well. In short, you’re better off just going with an Ultimate membership from the start. As you’ll get 6 months for half the price and then you won’t have to pay the $99.99 for 6 months until your first 6 months are over.
That being said, you should presumably be able to set up a Free membership or a Priority membership during the sale, then bump up to the Priority or Ultimate memberships with the discount if you want to take advantage of it and keep playing. As long as you do it before August 18. So in theory, check out the Free membership or Priority membership for a week or two, then upgrade before August 18 if you want to grab one of the 6-month options for 50% off.
New games join the lineup this week
While the Summer sale on memberships is great, so are new games being introduced to the service. And this week brings in a handful of new games that you can stream. This includes the newly released Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess from Capcom that launched on July 18. This is also not the only new release this week. In fact, most of this week’s new additions are games that were released this week.
The Crust is a new release on Steam and came out on July 15. Meanwhile, Gestalt: Steam and Cinder was released on Steam on July 16, and Nobody Wants to Die was released on Steam on July 17. Dungeons of Hinterberg, Norland, and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn also released on July 18 alongside Kunitsu-Gami.
The remaining two games are Content Warning, and Crime Boss; Rockay City.
