We’ve been following several rumors this year surrounding how many Pixel 9 devices we should expect. At first, we expected to only receive two devices. However, certain rumors point to there being more. Well, according to a new leak, we may be looking at three Pixel 9 models launching this year.
Previously, we’d gotten word that Google would be reviving The Pixel XL line and bringing a Pixel 9 Pro XL model. If that’s the case, then we could be looking at a Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and a Pixel 9 Pro XL model. Also, other rumors pointed to Google launching its next foldable under the Pixel 9 name. This one could be called the Pixel 9 Pro fold.
Pixel 9 cases reveal at least three models
Even though this rumor is pretty damning, you’ll still want to take it cautiously. Anything can change between now and the official launch of the phones.
Android Central was able to get its hands on several Pixel 9 cases from Thinborne. Thinborn is a notable case maker, and it appears that the company is getting ready for the Pixel 9’s launch. The cases that Android Central was able to get point to three different models.
Also, the cases help to confirm the design of these phones. The Pixel 8 launched with more rounded corners than the Pixel 7, and it appears that Google is continuing this trend. The corners of the Pixel 9 cases are very rounded.
Also, the case confirms the shape of the Pixel 9’s camera bump. We were all pretty much in disbelief when we saw the initial leaks of the Bender-style camera bump. However, it appears that Google has gone through with this design language.
At this point, we are sure that leaks and rumors for the Pixel 9 devices will only heat up as time goes on. Google I/O is right around the corner, however, we’re not sure we’ll hear any information about the Pixel 9 during the event. In any case, we are certain that Google’s next flagship phones will be some of the most exciting devices of the year.
