The story speculates about supply issues post-earthquake in Japan and also speculates that perhaps Toshiba is waiting for the quad-core Nvidia chips ta arrive. I assume it could be either, or perhaps it’s both. Or maybe Toshiba can see that their specs as published are just a little light.
The device stacks up nicely enough, but at $700 for this delayed Toshiba the Transformer or the Iconia would get my attention before this tablet. Both the ASUS and the Acer offer similar specs to this device, are available now and come in at $399 for the Transformer and $450 for the Iconia.
Maybe there are supply issues for Toshiba, then again, maybe it just needs a redesign.
