So, as promised yesterday, the Froyo upgrade for the T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant has been released. But, there’s one major catch, it’s not mandatory and you can only access it through Samsung Kies (their desktop software). This comes as a major blow to those who have been patiently and impatiently waiting for, now have to go through this extra, unnecessary step. And from reading through some forums, the Kies application isn’t recognizing a lot of people’s Vibrant; therefore, they can’t even get the update.
But, there is hope, according to the leak, there may be an OTA sent out in the near future from T-Mobile. So for those of you who don’t want to connect your phone to your computer, a solution may be available soon.
